Mission & Objectives Mission: The Information Technology Department is responsible for the hardware and software infrastructure of the entire city. This consists of the city's web site, internet access, enterprise systems, all business and government applications, carrier services (voice, local, long distance, mobile, beepers, PDA, telephone networks, GIS, CAD 911, and fiber optics). Our mission is to provide efficiency and cost savings through the use of information systems and technology to serve the citizens of Coral Gables. Vision: Objectives: Responsible for: • 911 CAD/RMS systems • City-wide Hardware and Software computer systems • Infrastructure cabling • Enterprise applications • City web portal • GIS • Telecommunications phone systems • Carrier circuits (long distance and local services) • Fiber optics transmission network • Mobile wireless data and telephone equipment • Beepers and PDAs
