Welcome
Commissioner Ralph Cabrera has served on the Coral Gables City Commission since 2001, when he received the largest number of votes in City history. Commissioner Cabrera has focused on preserving and enhancing the City Beautiful's unique quality of life and business environment. He also has spearheaded initiatives to improve customer service to residents and businesses, and promote efficiency and accountability in City operations. Prior to being elected in 2001 he was active on several high-profile City Boards and Committees. He served as Chairman of the Recreation/Youth Advisory Board between 1991 and 1993, as Vice Chairman of the Board of Adjustment between 1995 and 1999 and as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board, from 1999 to 2001. Commissioner Cabrera is President of Cabrera Benefits Group, Inc., a Coral Gables commercial insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm. A graduate of Coral Gables Senior High, he holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Florida International University.
